?The soul comes from without into the human body, as into a temporary abode, and it goes out of it anew and passes into other habitations, for the soul is immortal.
"It is the secret of the world that all things subsist and do not die, but only retire a little from sight and afterwards return again. Nothing is dead; men feign themselves dead, and endure mock funerals and mournful obituaries...and there they stand looking out of the window, sound and well, in some strange new disguise." (RWE)
How lovely to view existence as an ongoing process, that at our physical death we can observe the mourning of our body whilst immersed in our new physicality.
If we could for one moment, hold this thought of reincarnation as truth, how would we change the life we are in now?
Would we treat people with more kindness and empathy? Perhaps we would cherish our loved ones more? Would we be responsible for our actions or even our words, knowing that we would be held accountable in our next incarnation?
I have often wondered this...would we be a better planet if this was the accepted philosophy?
I would like to ask you to think on this and for one day accept that reincarnation and karma are in fact a given. Would you be different to those you love?
Where I work I see an inordinate amount of people who seem weighted down by life. Their posture reveals burdens too heavy for them to carry. They are anxious, stressed and cut off from the world, but mostly I fear, cut off from themselves.
When does it get to the point where work becomes life...and life becomes work?
Are we so alienated, so scared to look at ourselves, that we forget who we are...forgetting who we used to be?
Life is a wonderful gift, in which we can achieve wonderful things...not about getting the latest car, stereo...but about connecting with each other and remembering that what we do and say today can have an immense effect on what happens to us tomorrow.
We are in danger of becoming polarized from spirit.......Tell someone today that you appreciate them and care for them.....it?s the biggest gift you can bestow on another human being.
